Maine with Nana, Pop Pop and Uncle Bobby

The first days of our Maine trip were joined by Nana, Pop Pop and Uncle Bobby. It was great to see everyone, but we were sad that Amanda wasn't able to join us from Baltimore! She was there in spirit. Perfect weather, great food and company!

Siena loves the camera, and the camera loves her. After these pictures were taken she recited part of Canterbury Tales in Old English, then wrote a sonnet in iambic pentameter.

Maine week with the Scordinos

We wish the Engles could have stayed with us for the week - we enjoyed seeing more of Maine and spending quality time wth our brilliant, beautiful niece and sweet, adorable new nephew!

Loving their books

Joey!

Joey adores his mom already. It was amazing to see how much more frequently he was smiling, even within the 1 week we were there!

Hiking to the beach

Hi, sweetie!

Emmett LOVED his first trip to the beach.

Emmett's mouth was open with excitement for most of the day

Siena is an experienced beachcomber

Emmett kept running away, towards the water

Fog clearing up, views of Monhegan island (so they say)

Red's Eats on the way home!! Mommy nearly cried with joy during this moment

This is not a green screen. Emmett had enough of picture time.

Visiting Pemaquid point and lighthouse, quintessentially Maine.

Checking out Boothbay Harbor, before going on a whale watch. We didn't see any whales, but fortunately the buoys were exciting enough for Emmett.
