NY Trip 3: Great Sacandaga Lake

The third and longest leg of our trip was spent at the Tuman Family Camp on Great Sacandaga Lake, in the foothills of the Adirondaks. (Tuman = Andrew's mother's family.) We were fortunate to see so many people who came to spend time with us and, let's be real, see Emmett. We were particularly lucky to have some downtime to spend with Andrew's wonderful Aunt Karen, big time Camp-er and family connector extraordinaire.

Again, pictures practically only of the babies. What were we thinking?!

Oh my goodness.
Emmett and Elise
Emmett and the excellent corn from Gramma Debi. I think we only polished off about 125 ears of it this year.
Teresa had this great idea to buy a beanbag/"cornhole" set for up to camp. Instead of buying it, we asked Pop Pop to build it with Andrew's help; Nana ended up making the bean bags; and Bridget ended up hand-painting NY Giants/Philly Eagles logos on the boards so that we didn't have to order the decals. I guess that makes Teresa project manager.
Daddy and Emmett fishing. Some of the best quotes from these experiences: "Daddy, stop fishing!" "No fishing right now, Daddy." "Daddy, stop fishing and take a ride?"

Before Emmett gets a reputation as an Engle, we should mention that he actually caught a fish! The VERY FIRST cast, on our first day fishing, the first time using his fishing pole, we dragged in a 12" Bass. He was at least 5% excited.

NY Trip 2: Meeting Anthony Patrick

A highlight of our NY trip was meeting our new nephew, Anthony Patrick, who was born in June at just 28 weeks' gestation. He is a super strong, adorable little guy, and Andrew and I loved meeting him and seeing his proud parents, Emily and Vinnie. These pictures were taken on a Tuesday, July 19, and he was about 3lbs 6oz. The next day he started taking a bottle, with much success - he gained nearly a pound by Thursday, July 28, weighing in at 4lbs 3oz!
