It has been awhile since our last update, so we hope everyone is well! Many important people in our lives know that we are doing pretty well because we saw so many of you on our 2-week trip to upstate New York. We had a great time and while it was a long time to be away, we did not feel as rushed as we typically do over the holidays, and therefore feel pretty relaxed upon our return to Virginia. We only regret not taking photos more consistently - we pretty much just have pictures of the kids, and missed some great opportunities to take shots with our grandparents. Even so, we were touched by everyone who made an effort to see us, your generosity with your time and delicious food are so much appreciated.
We visited Bobby and Amanda's house for the first time in Albany, and had a warm, wonderful belated birthday party for Siena in their screened-in porch. Emmett and his cousin had a blast running around their lovely back yard together, and were seriously too cute for words.

We also were lucky to be guests at Teresa's Aunt Barbara and Lynn's house in Albany - their gorgeous back yard, complete with pool, sprinkler, ladder ball, gorgeous flowers, and graciously shaded places to sit, was the perfect place to spend an afternoon and have a cookout. Thank you both so much for your hospitality! Here are just a couple of pictures, gorgeous Joey and Sarah enjoying the day. By the way, Siena and Joey are Sarah's kids - Siena is 3, Emmett 2, and Joey 1. We were lucky that our trips coincided and we got to hang out for a few days!
