We just wrapped up an insanely busy holiday season with an even busier weekend. Reflecting on the holidays, we are sincerely touched by the generosity of our family and friends. We are so thankful that while we were up in NY, so many of you took the time to see us. We are overwhelmed by the thoughtful gifts, the amazing meals prepared, and the willingness of our loved ones to watch Emmett so that we could have some time to ourselves, sleep in, or just slack off a bit (which we totally took advantage of. :)
We are also still flying high from the fun we have had with our Virginia friends this past New Year's weekend, and couldn't wait to share some pictures! (We're still sorting through our holiday pics.)
We kicked off our New Year's Eve celebration with our dearest friends, Brooke, Andy and Juddy Gilbert. It was refreshing to come from the 20-degree weather in New York to 60 degree weather in Virginia. We drove to the Wintergreen resort outside of Charlottesville and saw our friends the Chappells, briefly, before spending the night at the Gilberts' condo with a delicious dinner cooked by Andrew and Andy. These photos are courtesy of the lovely and talented Brooke!

Most everyone knows that Andrew is a huge NFL fan, and by extension so is Teresa -- so it was a major treat to be invited to the Redskins-Giants game by our awesome friends Justin and Leslie Howard. More than the game, it was a pleasure to finally see their beautiful home in Northern Virginia, introduce them to Emmett, and especially to meet their 6 month old son, Max. Emmett LOVED "Baby Max" and has talked about him nonstop, and even identified "x" in the alphabet song to go with "Max."
Anyway, we had so much fun at the game and at dinner afterwards. The seats were amazing - very front row on the 30 yard line - and not too cold at all by January standards. Andrew received some heckling for his Giants gear but overall the Skins fans were quite civil; the game was exciting; and the company was fantastic!

The amazing camera crew was in front of us quite a bit, and very fun to watch

It was so cool watching the press run from one end of the game to the other - photographers, reporters, etc. They put in almost as many miles as the players themselves.
