A very cute little video

Weekend in Maine

We're sharing some pictures from our weekend in Maine, visiting Sarah and Joe and Siena in their beautiful new home on Damariscotta Lake! The entire state is picturesque, and we can't wait to invite ourselves back for another visit. In fact, we already have our excursions planned. Emmett was a champ on his first series of plane rides, which thankfully went very smoothly - no crying, no delays, and no fights between mommy and airline representatives.

Waiting in line for an hour to get a lobster roll from Red's Eats. We were surrounded by tourists who were there after reading about it in "1000 things to do before you die." It was awesome.

This and that

We hope everyone is having a great summer and just wanted to check in and give a quick update on Team Ilnicki! Time has flown since we got back from New York.

At the end of July, we enjoyed a long weekend visit from Teresa's college friends Carly (from LA) and Jana (from Las Vegas.) We had a great time seeing them and what used to be time spent jogging, yoga, sushi, parties, and dancing was now drinking coffee on the porch, watching the baby, going for walks and cooking.

Emmett has also been spending quality time with Judson, his best friend (if we have anything to say about it!)

We were also fortunate to see the Ficarettas, who stopped in Richmond for lunch on their way back from Florida and Myrtle Beach!

And for those of you keeping track, Emmett also turned 3 months old recently... and with this came some exciting changes. He is now laughing, cooing to himself and his toys, pulling himself into a seated position, holding his head up with no trouble at all, and has even rolled over twice! Books and TV (specifically, the Yankees) definitely hold his attention now. He has also started going to day care 3 days/week while we are at work. While it is not easy to leave him, we feel confident in the place and actually enjoy the change of pace - being around adults and working on projects again is a nice challenge for Mom. (Also, day care is only a couple blocks from our office so we stop in and see him frequently.)
